over the rail |

7/14/08 Mass State Police called for a car off the road Rt.3 south/south of exit 12 Duxbury. Once a trooper arrived on scene they called back, stating it was a
suv over the gaurd rail and approx. 100 feet down in the woods. The trooper on scene was requesting a Rotator, a Ramp truck , and also a chain saw. Once we
arrived on scene with what they were requesting, we started our recovery. We had to spend about 15mins cutting trees that were in our way. Then we then set up
the Rotator, spun the suv then winched it up the hill. We then attached a few cont. loops and 2 screw pin shackles, and lift the suv over the gaurd rail. We
spun the vehicle around the back of the tator tot, to the right side and loaded it on the back of the Ramp truck. The troopers and Pembroke fire on scene were
very happy how the recovery was handled.

Mike I like everything about the post except the cars passing on the right, but that's not your call. MKJ, and thanks for posting.

That truck is impressive.. in the last few pics, is the pass side front roof crushed in from the straps? I cant tell if its the photo angle or not.. the
previous pictures seem to show the roof line OK... just wondered, thanks for the pics!!

cool recovery and very nice truck. not trying to bash, but i think you would be better off using a spreader bar. itll save the vehicle from having the winches crushing it. ...... stay safe Charlie

I'm gonna start calling you "Little Wheel Recovery", all ya need is some yella paint! Ditto on the spreader bar but you got it done, traffic
flowed, got in got out get paid.
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand.
