Hi All … while reviewing a 2009 tow related fatality (article) in Southern Ontario Canada; I happened upon several interesting news articles dated 2012, as the result of a superior court lawsuit against the tow operator. The case has to do with legally parking a tow truck on-scene partially on the median and partially in a traffic lane. It also has to do with a motorist’s lawful responsibility to slow down and move over. I found it quite interesting reading and I think you will too. Here are the links; read them in the same order as posted. I’m thankful for this superior judge who looked at this scenario with a sense of reasonable andprudent actions of the motoring public and not as a bleeding heart. It brings a lesson of the importance of parking tow trucks on-scene safety to not raise question of tower responsibility. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2009/01/25/mississauga_man_dies_in_ancaster_crash.html
Good reading ... R.
