We have been advised to obtain insurance certificates from salvage company vendors naming us also insured. The reason being is that if we release a vehicle to one of these vendors and they are involved in an accident, and are carrying low insurance coverage,we could be also named in a suit. If a hydraulic hose were to blow on our property or property of anyone else who is responsible for the environmental impact? If there is environmental damage and once again low insurance coverage who pays and who can also be named? In conversation with a salvage contractor employee I was told they would forward their vendors certificate naming them also insured. What is your opinion?
