You both produce fine towing equipment, lots of it. So much in fact that we see tow vehicle everywhere these days. Landscape companies, equipment rentals, and lots and lots of towing companies. Basic laws of supply and demand apply here. The more tow trucks available, the lower the price of a tow ("my cousin Jimmy works for XYZ Landscaping, he'll tow your car for $25..."). The lower the price for a tow, the less money towing companies have to buy new tow trucks. Do yourselves a favor (and us too) and help re-build the profit in the towing business. Start buying, and destroying, old tow trucks. You two have the resources to take lots of older trucks off the streets. What if you destroyed one truck for every truck you sold? One truck for every five sold? You would help keep unsafe rigs off the streets, help your customers earn more money so they can afford new trucks, and help maintain a steady market for yourselves, and keep your American workers working. While I know you both compete fiercely, could you please make an agreement in just this one area?
Sincerely,
