Posts: 108 02/03/2012 10:58 PM Supporter Since 2007 Kentucky	Tags : None towed this T2000 KW with 48k in tha box out of the Tenn scales to our shop for repairs. to my suprise scale house let me tow the combo out. they made me pull cross scales b4 i could leave..green light!! then crossed 2 more scales on way to shop.. 2 more green lights!!! must been my free pass day! If you were to have a failure and the truck in tow dropped with the wheels turned. The semi would take the rear of your truck side ways !

Posts: 404 02/04/2012 02:39 PM Directory Listing Pending	Is that really true? Or would the wheels just straighten out, like you were trying to flat tow the thing? If the wheels are locked straight, and something fails and drops when you are trying to turn, couldn't that cause more problems? Or am I thinking of this the wrong way?

It's a fact...If a failure occured it's going the way the wheels are aimed...Once the "tow" truck is turned the "towed" vehicle will also be turned not by the steering wheel but by the tow trucks crossbar and pivot pin....The purpose of locking them straight is in the event of failure the towed vehicle stays directly behind the tow truck and possibly can be stopped by the tailboard on the tow truck..Not ideal but sure beats a innocent person getting killed....Kenny Kenny Miracle ''Miracles Do Happen Here'' *Click On Banner For Link To Website*
