Thanks to Scooby and Matjack, we rarely have to pull the load off now...Less actual work and the same $$$$.I can't say I miss those days of skid by skid box by box....

Alternator wire is a fused circuit on the Fords......If you repair you'd be best served to KNOW you solved the CAUSE as well as the EFFECT....

Check beside the transmission on the passenger side near the firewall,I say this because Ford had a horrible design flaw that allowed Trans fluid to flow up the vent hose and would dump out on top of the right hand converter ....

Hell you didn't need a wrecker/flatbed, the average lawnmower would have pulled that....If my pickup ever got stuck in a spot like that it would need the fire dept. and then a wrecker....

Man that looks  familiar...It might sound silly but I'd rather lift the cab then install a serpentine belt....Buying a "running complete" is almost like cheating...lol

I've been getting the 6.0 and 6.4 Fords from a place called Blackwater engines so far they've been great and fair priced..Ever hear of them?

Really not sure with a power unit that doesn't have air brakes...On the air brake equipped wreckers, I can control the hydraulic brakes via brake buddy,If towing something that has air brakes I just "tap" into the air system and brake...
