Our local equipment dealer called us to recover their service truck that had been involved in a head on about 40 miles south of us on Hwy 93. The older driver of the red truck had a heart attack and drifted into the service truck. The service truck driver is a friend of mine and he said the other driver was slumped over the steering wheel right before they hit. He said he thought about going into the other lane to avoid the crash, but he would have wiped out everybody behind the red truck so he took the head on.
The driver's compartment wasn't really all that bad considering the impact. Paramedics said he probably would have survived.
