last week a rollback came to my yard to pickup a empty 40 ft box trailer . he asked me for a old tire and wheel he placed on the back of the truck put a
chain acossed the tire. then he put his broken winch cable tied to his briddle to the front of the trailer and away he went. i followed him to see how far he
would get.he got on 695 beltway and did over 55 mph no dot # no name on truck

That's kind of hard to believe.....Bobby, you didn't make this up for a conversation piece did you?
I can't believe that someone would be that F'ed in the head to try that.... What do the customer's say on the other end? He always gets his man? Is that a "Wreckmaster" approved cable knot? It's hard to tell from this angle....

One question: You say you did everything but what did you think the extra wheel was for when you saw what equipment he had and start with the cross
chain....That's where the hell no comes in...Also I imagine there is some type of paperwork....did you do anything to follow up afterwards?
Now I've seen everyone on here speaking about "the D.O.T." but for something so blatantly obvious I would think any P.D. could stop him and at the very least hold him until the proper authority for such comes along in whatever jurisdiction you may be in. |
