Posts: 632 06/19/2008 11:38 AM	Tags : None Hi Gang, OnScene Solutions has added a Fuel Surcharge feature to InTow Manager that will auto calculate the fuel surcharge on a per customer basis. My quesiton is this - is your fuel surcharge a taxable item? A simple YES or NO and your State would be perfect... And for those of you who don't know, you can download a 30 day evaluation of InTow Manager from our web site at www.onscene-solutions.com. Posts: 647 08/03/2008 07:20 AM	Hi John, 1) Anyone who is an existing InTow Manager customer and on a support contract gets it as an update. 2) A customer using InTow Manager but not on a support contract could have the update if they renewed their support contract. 3) New customers get it built into the system as part of the purchase. Posts: 607 08/06/2008 11:37 AM Featured Member July 2009 Rotator Oklahoma	We downloaded the trial version of In Tow Manager a few months back, and we had a few reservations that I needed to ask about. This topic reminded me that I need to do that... First off, Oklahoma's fuel surcharge changes weekly. Our rates are calculated every Monday by obtaining the average price of diesel fuel in the Midwest Region, according to the Department of Energy's web site. Oklahoma's base rate is $1.90/gallon, and a 1% fuel surcharge is added for every .10/gallon increase. Is there a way to change the fuel surcharge on your software for everyone all at once, without having to go through every single customer's account every week? Second, the trial version wouldn't allow us to add sales tax to our storage or parts sales. Can this be done on the real version? Third, the ladies here didn't like the method of time entry. They said it really slowed down the process of entering invoices. We would prefer to be able to just type in the times without having to tab or arrow over. Is this something that can be changed?

Posts: 652 08/06/2008 01:46 PM	Hey Billy, 1) Based on what you are telling me, it might be easier for you to setup a service called Fuel Surcharge and enter the amount per invoice based on the fuel surcharge rate of the week. In our program, each customer can have a different %, so there is no place to make a global change to everyone. 2) The trial version does allow you to setup tax rates - this is just a training issue that I can take care of. 3) Im not sure you are using the software correctly if you have to change call times. If you put a call on the dispatch screen at 11:30 and dispatch the call at 11:35, it captures the dispatch time. If it goes OnScene at 11:50, and you mark the call OnScene in the software, it will captures that time for you. I don't recommend letting anyone change call times as it ruins the integrity of the data. The only time you would potentially need to change times is back dating calls from the weekend on Monday morning. If you don't use dispatching, we don't capture those times anyway as the dispatch feature is turned off.
