Check it out!! as I sit each & everyday an listen to all the bellyaching from my fellow towers about this sagging economy I think to myself. self .. what
if we as towers could actually stick it to our customers & set them to a standard that would keep ALL of the towers in every area of this industry alive
& well.. WOW what do you think about that?? Great ,well how do you accomplish that? got any ideas? how bad does it have to get? average account call 50.00
+ miles , 60.00 + miles ?? everytime they pick up the phone they got the same price from a tower.. Hum. think they would pass it on to the customer? damn right
they would ,with a piece on top for themself.. motor clubs that everyone crys about.. same deal.. 50.00 bucks day or night, bottom line call the next guy ,
50.00 bucks day or night .. Standards?? prices should be the standards. we all can get drivers we have for years but in this day & age we need to set a
standard among ourselves & stop cutting our own throats!! I know of areas where this kind of camaraderie exists & they all reap the benefits. large
markets seem to be the problem. these areas have a fierce competition among each other that spurn cut throat pricing & bad blood among towers that could be
resolved with a little respect,integrity & even common courtesy among brothers of this tower brotherhood we all get up to each & everyday to
service..that's right that WE service..WE put the fuel in the trucks that service our customers..WE drive the trucks that service our customers.. WE pay
the payments on these trucks that service our customers..WE pay the insurance on our trucks that service our customers..so I ask you why should we set ourselfs
to a standard below what we deserve? I see guys everyday with a brand new truck towing for 25.00 & I ask them why? answer; because I got to ..Oh yea why?
what do you mean? why do you tow for 25.00? well thats the way it is..I got to do it to get customers.. how much did you pay for fuel today? 125.00.. how many
tows you do ? 7 .oh yea is that a good day? pretty good OK thanks. you guys got my drift, I see it everyday ,now do you see where the standards need to be?
this is no bull crap if you want to set this industry straight lets start with ourselves & our everyday pricing.. set a minimum standard for pricing..
service your area , do a good job & if you slack ,then if another tower takes your customer because he SERVICES them better, well maybe that's the
way it should be. I'm a little old school but service is the key to a good working relationship with anyone. without that then your wasting your time in
any business. this business that we chose is a tough one ,but at the end of the day we all need to pay our bills..
