A permit is more than just cheap insurance.....
Experience is something you normally get right after you need it.......

They build these here at Beird Ind. and move them all under this bridge to a storage lot that happens to be across the street from my house. This one I would
imagine they were moving to the port on the river which has to go right back by where they build them.... They are usually escorted by 3 or more police cars
and a pilot van following....Not sure on the no pole car deal...maybe because it is a known route... The CATCHER (literally) is this was a BRAND NEW
TRAILER........."WAS" .... maybe Matt will post the pictures he took later.. and I'll still get some more info and post.

The Police escort had him get intothe far left lane to zig-zag around traffic, however there is a 1 foot height difference in the far left lane than in the far
right lane. The right lane is the lowest making more height clearance! He had a permit, however it was for another contracted hauler and different truck!

These things are a real pain! Just had one here that tried going thru the cloverleaf at 71/281 and his jeep trailer put the rear in the bottom with the
unit almost turning over. Gary's Wrecker called me to assist in winching it back up on the road. Long, tall and heavy! This rig was permitted, length,
weight and height but they routed him on the wrong roads - no way to make the cloverleaf as long as he was.
