Landoll doubles??? |
Lead | ||
|
One of the companies from Reno was passing thru and getting fuel when I saw this set up. I've never seen doubles with a Landoll before, probably nothing
new to all you ol' dawgs on here though!
Stay safe out there, and watch out for those citizens!

Hmmm - at that point why not just use a multi car carrier???
Looks like all the vehicles had tires. Seen some of the Cottrel style trailer guys have us load real wrecks onto their trailers for their accts. This set up you have pictured would of been preferable..............
Experience is something you normally get right after you need it.......

Can't say I have seen that before. Don't understand why someone would want to drag all that around for 7 cars. Looks more like someone trying to get in
to a deal that they are not actually equipped to handle?
Thanks,

RE: The Saturn deck. Here in Phoenix we have a lot of salvage haulers hauling to destinations out of state daily. I've tried to get close but never have to
see how they're hanging them upstairs.
I'm assuming they're using mini-j's or clips to anchor them with chain ratchets ala the car transporters. |

I see alot of the saturn deck setup up here lately. Im guessing the wrecking business is going strong or these flatbeds just need freight going east.

The company that hauls these cars down from Reno do it on a regular basis. When they have a full load for Copart or for IAA they bring them down the 430 mile journey. I believe there getting $350.00 a car x 7 cars = $2,450.00 a trip. |

Now thats really different and is probably an accident in the brewing.
Might be feasable to check on a car carrier? |

except for the car on the stilts, i dont see anything wroung. A lot of state out west allow 48 to 53 ft double combo. I believe if that was illeagel somewhere
in the 860 mile tow some law dog would stop that. I comend them being resourceful enough and knowing the law to do that. 25K for a worn out car hauler, no
thanks. 8500 for 53 ft trailer, 4k ? for dolly. thats what i would do.
I wonder when they get to salvage yard does the loader put the dolly on red flatbed, then back the red fb on landoll, chain all down and drive home? 16 less tire's to worry about and i wont even mention making a turn. ryan |
