One killed in three-way crash on I-80

A 49-year-old Ladd man was pronounced dead this morning at the scene of a three-truck accident on Interstate 80
four miles east of the Utica exit.
William B. Waite Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, according to La Salle County Coroner Jody Bernard. Christian Henninger, 30, of La Salle was transported to Community Hospital of Ottawa and then flown to another hospital, according to a state police report.
Waite and Henninger were working for Waite's Service and Towing and helping a disabled semi when a second semi in the eastbound lane slammed into them, according to the report.
