As far as a brief scene but actor and story quality, HEAT by far, take that to the bank! As far as a scene with a tow truck, the original "Gone in Sixty
Seconds" with Ron Howard. The scene with the chase of the wrecker and the wrecker as driving backwards with a car on the hook. For all you newbies, you
really wouldn't understand the hook up of the vehicle, it was with a sling like on a Holmes 440 or 480 or similar. Glen in Sunny Montana!

Does a "Dukes of Hazzard" TV episode qualify? If so, "Cooter" losing the car off the back of his "tow truck" was certainly the
predecessor of 'TowMater' in the "Cars" movie.

Men in black also had a tow truck driver in it, but it is not the best portrayal of a tow truck driver. The tow truck driver pulled aside his collar to reveal
a long barreled hand gun. He also did not appear too clean in the shot.

US Marshalls had that scene where Wesley Snipes flipped a Ford wrecker
I do love the scene in Any Which Way But Loose where Orvile was listening to the radio and had the magnetic stickers for the other companies and beat them to the calls |

All of the above ....
I agree with Glen the original Gone in 60 seconds I really enjoy the chase in it but man they must have welded the car to that truck or trucks... Awesome to watch...... One of the Lethal Weapons with the rollback jumped over by car..... Deliverance had a wrecker in it to the hillbilly wrecker.....
Chip is that Orville and Ma or two guys from Michigan image is blury..

"Any which way but loose" when ma drove the wrecker WITH a car on it and ground it into nothing cursing the whole way. Orig. "Gone in 60 sec.", "Heat" I wish I could do that. TV Dukes when Cooter lassoed the car with his hook. How many times did he rip out a rear end (and fixed it)? That's one helluva rope he got thar, yup.

What was it, Navy Seals, where Charlie Sheen gets his car back off the rollback going down the road? At the time, I was like cool. Now I understand it is
impossible, (pto not engaged, dock stabilizers not hitting the ground, etc.).

My favorite movie that had towing in it was Grand Canyon. Danny Glover played a tow truck driver and I believe he portrayed the profession well. It is a
fine movie.

The second "Gone In Sixty Seconds" had several wreckers in it including a couple of tators. I loved the scene from "Heat" though with the
wrecker.
Life is about the journey, not the destination. |
