got a 2008 F-650 with the 6.7 cummins in it. Went to go run yesterday and found the ac cluthc was kicking on and off repetedly, so I had our tech check the refidgerent, empty. Not even 3,000 miles on the truck yet. We just refilled it to get it through the weekend, but I have a feeling it will all leak out. Anybody run into this yet? We will probably put die in the system monday and keep an eye on it. Just agrivating for a new truck.

my 07 ford 650 the same thing. only 11,000 miles. it was just low on freon. why i dont know. added less then a 1/2 a pound to the system and its ice cold again
and the clutch stays on longer. when the a/c clutch kicks on and off quickly theres not enough freon in the system. good luck

yea...I put the gauges on it and it was empty..took it to ford and argued with the svc writer to charge it in 100 degree heat until we could bring it in to
have die added to the system...so far so good. They have the truck down at the race track the rest of the week, so we will see how it works on monday when they
get back

Well if the a/c clutch is kicking on there is something in the system, the low pressure switch will cut off the compressor clutch in pressures are too low.
(lubrication is carried by the freon). If its low there is a leak somewhere, no if ands or buts, its a sealed system. Likely culprits are the service valves
and condensors (radiator for the a/c) on new vehicles. A/c laws must not be stricht around you guys, we cant fill a system and let it go unless we check for
leaks on the entire system and "verify" there is not..
