well the lab says is fuel iit n the engine oil, but the dealer and myself still have no idea then where 24qt of ATF went
they sould have the truck done tomarrow and then i have to look at a possible inj. problem

talked to the dealer this morning, my transmission leak is a converter stud
as far as it getting into the engine oil, all there tech's say it is not possible, but they do agree there is something other than fuel in the oil
so they are going to warrenty the converter and labor, also they are sending a engine oil sample to be tested
if it shows that there is trans fluid in the sample they will go further
just have to wait and see now

called the dealer, trans still has some warrenty
so im going to let them fix it

it post the fix once i find out

Maybe your transmission vent line somehow got hooked into the engine?

i got a '05 C5500 6.6 duramax with a alison 1000 trans 110k miles on it
over the past couple days which has been about 1k miles i've lost 15qt of ATF with no external leaks
i've also got a slight misfire at idle
now tonight i checked my engine oil and i have found that it is grossly overfull and thin, so i changed the oil (not due for 5k more miles) and that took care of my misfire
but upon a closer look of my engine oil i realized that i found my missing ATF,...
