Detroit 8.2L, puking coolant!?

I have found a truck I want to buy but they tell me it pukes coolant once the motor warms up. Could this be a head gasket or cracked cyclinder and has anyone
had this problem? How much to fix? It is in a 1989 GMC 7000.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

It was the head gasket on the passenger side. It cost me $2364.00 to get it replaced. It runs great now. It won't be an over-the-road truck, it will just
stay on my little 160 acre farm. It needs a little TLC but overall a great buy for $2500. The head gasket double the amount I have in it but other trucks are
in the 5-7K range so it put me at right where it would have been worth if it ran good I guess.

I would say most likely a head gasket or cylinder prodlem! If it has been this way for a while and they have been running it like that the motor is probaly
trashed. I would avoid this truck unless you are getting a steel on it and can aford a new motor. Just my 2 cents for what its worth I have seen many of these
trashed because of a head gasket not being fixed. Good luck and hope this helps Steve
