Today I will say the last good by to my Hero, Martha H Penn, my mother. She left this world Sunday at the ripe age of 90 years. She was a decorated WWII Veteran, having earned 5 Bronze Stars and just recently the French Legion of Honor award for her service to France during the war. This award was created by Napoleon. An old state law is getting tougher enforcement by state troopers and now Tulsa Police are taking action as well.

The Move Over law in which drivers are required to change lanes if an emergency vehicle or tow truck is pulled off the side of the road has been around for several years.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol tried to enforce it but Lt. George Brown said drivers still disobey.

Tow truck driver rescued from Houston bayou "video" (TX)

HOUSTON -- A wrecker driver had to be rescued from Keegan's Bayou in Southwest Houston Tuesday night.

The driver was headed eastbound on the Beltway 8 feeder road near Highway 59 when he lost control of his tow truck and ended up in the bayou.

The driver managed to get out of the submerged truck and was standing on top of it when rescue crews arrived.

They threw him a life ring and pulled him to safety.

Prayers are need for a fellow local tower. Kenny Stills , a senior driver for Diamond Towing Corportation in Sherman, Tx
had a massive Heart Attack and is in ICU, his main artery was 100% blocked and he will have to go under a triple by-pass

What is going on with all these PPI stories. I have to ask the question on this one as they say the temporary signs were torn down. Is there not an ordinance the the lot has to be marked properly prior to towing. Now I have no doubt the person parking there should have known better, But with a lack of signage I see this as yet another event that will bring on stiffer regulations and after all the work the NC towers have done this past year to avoid them or work with those putting them...

I wanted to say that last week while in Baltimore for the Tow Show, Rex Dunn found out the worst possible news that could change a persons life. Ecpecailly with the Holidays. Rex's Wife and In Laws were killed in a Horrific Accident which also injured Rex's Daughter. I do not know Rex personally but had spoken to him on occasion over the years. Rex to you and your family you are all in my and my familys prayers. We hope your daughter is recovering from her injuries.
